PUBLIC FORUM IN McCREARY COUNTY!
DECEMBER 9TH - Click HERE for more info on location & time
Inviting ALL interested and curious Kentuckians AND Tennesseans to join us at this Public Forum in Whitley City, KY, to help answer questions about Cumberland Clear’s mission and what we know about the potential Roberta Phase II Landfill, which would be a NEW landfill adjacent to an existing one and integrate a trash train transfer station enabling it to accept waste from multiple states, creating a potential Super Dump.
Our water flows north into Kentucky, so this is very much a Kentucky concern because of the potential to affect drinking water. The developers are planning to use an illegal landfill permit issued in 2010 (view letters in Documents to learn more about this) to place a landfill on top of existing water sources
We need to keep up the momentum as we move forward. Take time to educate your family, friends, and neighbors about the issues we face as Scott (TN), McCreary (KY), and Pulaski (KY) Counties are at great risk.
WE APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR SUPPORT! Click HERE to donate.
!! ATTENTION !!
The proposed Roberta Landfill Phase II has turned in their ARAP (Aquatic Resource Alteration Permit). This proposed ADDITIONAL landfill would be constructed on top of water resources.
STAY TUNED FOR TDEC’S PUBLIC HEARING DATE ON THIS APPLICATION.
To view the ARAP application click HERE to go to the Division of Water Resources DataViewer “Roberta Phase II Landfill” and click on the PDF icon to the left of “Application“ to view in its entirety.
